About the Job
The individual is responsible for supporting the business development and education teams by assuming responsibility for developing and submitting education and practice related grants that will maximize essential support from external grantors to the Association’s research, training and programmatic initiatives.
The Primary Responsibilities are:
Facilitate and organize grant submissions:
Act as the point person throughout the proposal preparation process by communicating information to and from internal stakeholders (e.g. business development and education team members) and grant offices/sponsors.
IdetifRead and understand proposal requirements and develop plan for proposal completion including systematically collecting required background information (e.g. biosketches, letters of support, gap analysis, research, and personnel information), determining timelines, and creating/maintaining collaborative environment.
For electronic submissions, upload all documents in correct format and ensure that all required elements are complete. Work with business development and education teams to ensure timely submission.
Identify, research, develop, and compose proposals to obtain corporate funding and grants
Write all non-clinical grant sections, including organizational capabilities, resource descriptions, project management, and budget justifications.
Compile and format references and appendices.
Ensure uniform document formatting, and oversee review and editing of entire document by team.
Grant budgeting and financial reconciliation:
Communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g.business development team, education, and practice) to determine project needs.
Contact other internal and external sources and vendors as required determine other project costs. Develop preliminary budget and/or place in appropriate format.
Gather supporting financial reconciliation information, place in appropriate format and submit reconciliations, as required.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related area. Business and marketing training a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as proposal writer, grant submission organizer, reconciliation specialist
