The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals and is seeking a full-time Manager to work with the overall operations of ADA’s professional practice groups, member interest groups, and affiliate chapters. In this role, the Manager may advise, negotiate and consult with officers and members on policy, financial, and operational issues
Manages and directs a full range of projects, including, but not limited to: assisting with budget development, strategic and goal planning, communication and publication reviews, member and volunteer leader engagement, and advising on contracts and grants.
Regular communication with dietetic practice groups and member interest group leaders via conference call, emails, and in person.
Works with varying cultures, demographics and areas of practice.
Collaborates with internal staff on programming and alignment of projects with Academy strategic goals.
Develops and contributes to resources including volunteer training, webinars, templates and policies.
Researches, analyzes and recommends improvements of group processes and provides insight and innovation to current team practices
Bachelor’s degree is required
Ideal candidate will have experience working with association, non-profit or volunteer groups. Experience with chapters or special interests is beneficial.
A background in healthcare, food or nutrition is advantageous but not required.
Strong communication, volunteer and project management skills are necessary
Some travel required
