Position Summary:This position is responsible for the implementation of communications programs and communications vehicles, developing content for print publication and supporting media relations activities. The Communications Coordinator is also responsible for the project management coordination of the communications team, and tactical support for department-wide projects and events.

Serve as editor and determine content for TW+N and Tell Me More newsletters.
Research and write feature and background articles and press releases.
Edit a variety of materials including fact sheets, advisories and audiovisual presentations.
Develop and maintain additional Tell Me More program content and initiatives.
Develop and maintain editorial calendar for communications activities.
Identify and submit supporting documentation for applicable association/communication award programs.
Serve as back-up for media inquiries and assist in the development and management of CLA response.
Oversee all aspects of the fulfillment of the organization's publications from order request to delivery from various vendors including: content creation, design and layout, and print and production.
Prepare effective advocacy materials including background papers, issue briefs, talking points, amendments, correspondence, testimony, public comments, and grass roots materials for use by CropLife representatives and allied organizations.
Serve as point contact for publication houses and other vendors for specialized communication services.

Must have the proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Education, Work Experience and/or Licensure
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Marketing or related degree
4+ years of experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with agricultural industry preferred.
Must have strong command of the English language.
