The Director of Membership is responsible for managing the AAAE membership database, membership retention and recruitment, and membership benefits and activities.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Develops and executes membership recruitment and retention efforts, including coordinating strategy, engaging in analysis, identifying trends and reporting of results.
Responsible for development of effective budgets, plans, strategic goals and the performance against budget and plan (for both revenue and expenses) and achievement of department goals, in collaboration with the Vice President, Member Experience & AAAE Foundation, and the Executive Vice President, Meetings, Membership, Marketing, and Administration.
Develops and maintains relationships with AAAE Members.
Maintains overall responsibility for iMIS data, including reviewing member and prospect data for accuracy and notifies the appropriate departments of anomalies.
Oversees AAAE member affinity programs and consistently evaluates benefits to each member type, making appropriate recommendations for enhancements and opportunities for delight.
Contributes to the improvement of current membership processes and procedures, particularly with the goal of improving department efficiency.
Manages membership marketing efforts, in collaboration with the Director, Marketing.
Responsible for membership and join sections of the AAAE website as well as leads and drives content in the online AAAE Member Communities, with the goal of increasing participation. Works with AAAE Committee liaisons to support Committee Communities.
Responsible for AAAE member directories online, including AAAE Vendor Search and the Multiview contract and billing.
Supports AAAE commitment to delivering service, innovation and results for our membership, in addition to delighting members through benefit enhancements, new programs, etc.
Supports efforts to track key member satisfaction metrics on an ongoing basis.
Helps manage the Young Professional Group of AAAE.
Manages IAAE Canada member database and billing.
7+ years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of iMIS databases
Experience in administrative work; must be detail oriented
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Strong customer service, negotiation, and team-working skills
