Management and support of research/clinical care and regulatory activities reporting to two directors. Works with members, committees and staff in the development and execution of programs and projects related to performance measurement, health policy, quality of care issues, FDA and other regulatory topics, and coding issues. Manages and acts as sole liaison for the Performance Measurement Committee. Works with department directors to liaise with other committees and projects as needed. Provides administrative support/committee administration.
Strong project-management, analytical, writing and communication skills. Must be a team player with ability to work with multiple parties. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to adapt to a variable workload and function in a deadline-oriented environment. Strong research skills. Ability to understand and interpret the political arena relative to scientific issues and working with staff and volunteers. Understanding of clinical quality improvement, performance measurement and general knowledge of health policy issues.
Manual Skills Necessary
Computer literacy is essential, (proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, Endnote, Internet); average to heavy computer usage. Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard.
Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs occasionally when preparing shipments, organizing inventory, or staffing programs.
Experience working in a health care setting; health care administration; medical society/association management or health policy setting.
