In this position, you will support member engagement and retention, member awards, volunteer management and student chapters for the Membership & Communications department.
You get to help improve the lives of animals and people through the education, training and certification of veterinary specialists.
You will work directly with key Board members and key volunteers.
You will travel to our annual meeting and work with our members face to face.

This position will work hard to keep our member and volunteer records are up to date in order to better support the following areas of responsibilities:
Membership Engagement & Retention:
Coordinating certificate ceremonies at annual meeting, including RSVP lists and production of certificates. Through out the year, process replacement certificate orders as needed.
Provide support for membership meeting agenda/activities during the annual meeting.
Provide support for member elections by working with Nomination Committee to collect materials and coordinate the general college election and specialty elections.
Send new Diplomate welcome kits.
Process dues billing and payments.
Provide letters of verification of Board-certified status, as requested.
Assists constituents with the use of the Job Board.
Work with staff liaisons to support 80 ACVIM committees with role descriptions, SOPs, website updates, orientation and continuing education programs for key volunteers.
Provide support for Board meetings, activities and events including coordinating logistics, materials development and distribution and communications.
Provides assistance on projects, assignments and duties in support of the five ACVIM specialty presidents.
Coordinate and support member award submissions, winner video creation and presentation at membership meeting, and serve as staff liaison for award committees.
Provide support for the student chapter program, including communication with students, new chapter creation and engagement of existing chapters.
Coordinate chapter stipend program.
Coordinate Certificate of Clinical Excellence awards with universities.
Required Education and Experience
Two years of coordinating and/or performing administrative and program support activities.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Professional or trade association experience.
Working knowledge of association management software.
