As the Program Specialist, you will report to the Program Manager, Standards and provide support to the standards work program. In addition to your track record of success serving other senior-level staff, you will bring your exceptional customer service delivery, combined with your attention to detail (the “little” details that when smoothly managed, keep everyone happy and feeling well served) as you support the standards department and AAMI’s volunteer customers.
Your primary role will be to support the preparation and dissemination of documents to the prescribed audience(s) thereby increasing the efficiency and timeliness of standards development. In this role, your intelligence, inquisitiveness, attention to details, organization skills, customer service skills, judgment and discretion will be critical to success.
Our department facilitates the development of a large portfolio of technical documents that are critical to ensuring patient safety. Proper processing of these documents is essential. You will be required to have at least a basic understanding of the various standards development processes (AAMI, ANSI, ISO, IEC) and ensure that procedures and documents conform to the required processes.
You will also be responsible for the accurate maintenance of information within the standards online platform (Kavi) as well as in the AAMI membership database (iMIS).
As you grow in this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and expand your experience and skills. This position requires the ability to travel. We have four annual meetings (two are in the region and two can be anywhere within the U.S.), each requiring about a week of travel to be onsite for the event.
