The Membership and Database Manager will be responsible for supporting all membership activities for a 6000 member professional society using NOAH/JL Systems software. Responsibilities include: recruitment and retention, member services and engagement; oversight of all membership database activities, data collection and reporting; CMS/Web related management and providing assistance with other department activities. This is a managerial position requiring initiative, teamwork and solid managerial, analytical and technical skills. The work involves partnerships with co-workers, members, vendors, and other external groups, and requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment.
As a team player, work with multiple departments to prepare and implement a membership marketing plan for recruitment and retention efforts and a website management plan to assure accuracy, relevance and customer satisfaction.
Manages all aspects of AMS and CMS including data/information entry, qa/qc, tracking membership statistics; coordinating membership invoicing process, content management and responding to member requests.
Implements and oversees operation of membership benefits programs, membership satisfaction and supports/provides oversight to various committees related to membership and member related services and member publications.
Prepares annual budget for all membership and database activities.
Proven ability to plan, track and perform multiple tasks, manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent attention to detail.
Team player with excellent oral and written communications skills.
Experience with CMS/AMS required. Knowledge of NOAH (JL Systems) platform a plus.
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office—MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop a plus.
Problem solving ability a must; creativity a plus.
Ability to travel approximately 10% of time including being away from home for 8 consecutive days for Annual Conference.
