The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), a national trade association representing commercial construction firms, seeks experienced and effective lobbyist to promote utility infrastructure, underground damage prevention, trade, water & wastewater facility, wetlands and storm water issues.
Principal Responsibilities: This position will serve as the primary information and activism conduit to commercial contractors engaged in municipal & utilities, underground, water and wastewater facility and other types of construction. The position will also serve as the primary liaison to federal agencies and congressional lobbyist on utility infrastructure, trade and environmental issues. In addition, this position provides staff support to AGC Utility Infrastructure Division and associated committees and task forces and manages related division meetings and conferences.
Job Requirements: The successful candidate will possess knowledge of and experience working with Capitol Hill and/or Federal Agencies on water and infrastructure policy issues; a bachelor’s degree; excellent oral and written communication skills; and the motivation and ability to respond to multiple issues simultaneously.
