The USA Roller Sports Board of Directors is actively searching for candidates for the position of Executive Director. Interested candidates should submit their Resumes by close of business day 10/17/2017.
The Executive Director is the key management leader of USA Roller Sports. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, activities and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include financial management, marketing, and oversight of USARS programs. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
ACTUAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and operation of the annual budget
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of USA Roller Sports
Serving as USARS primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media and the general public
Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of Roller Sports throughout the USA
Supervise and collaborate with the organization staff
Ensures that the activities of all roller sports and sport committees are carried out in a professional and timely manner
Oversee Board and Board Committee meetings
Review and approve contracts for services
Oversee marketing and other communications activities
Ensure USARS Bylaws and General Rules are in harmony and USARS is compliant where needed
Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

A bachelor’s degree is desired
Five or more years management experience
Solid hands on budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting
Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating and program development
Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector
Strong written and oral communication skills
Effective electronic communication skills
Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
USA Roller Sports (USARS) is recognized by the International Roller Sports Federation (FIRS) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the National Governing Body of competitive roller sports in the United States, including speed, figure, hockey, roller derby and slalom.
USARS has sponsored amateur competitions since 1937, exercising jurisdiction over the participation of United States ...roller skaters in international competition, including World Championships, World Games, Pan American Games and Olympic Games.
