We are bringing sales in-house as we look to build and develop a professional sales division within Argentum. We are looking for the right sales individual to join us as the first Account Executive on the sales team. Opportunity is waiting for a career-focused person.
The Account Executive will be responsible for sales of Argentum opportunities to industry supplier companies’ serving the senior living marketplace. This sales position will require consultative selling, seeking integrated solutions for industry suppliers for the following properties: Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo, Senior Living Executive Magazine, Argentum Daily (digital newsletter), Argentum events, and Industry Partner Membership. The Account Executive will also be empowered to take a leadership approach to sales, to create new opportunities for revenue generation, to create and refine sales campaigns, and to bring ideas and solutions to the team in an effort to take a growing industry association the new revenue levels.
This position will report directly to the Sales Manager. It is the management team’s goal to provide the support, tools, knowledge, training, inventory, systems, and workflows that will allow you to meet and exceed all sales targets. All efforts will be driven by a desire to grow the sales department and the individuals within it.
Proactive management of their assigned sales territory, includes frequent communication through phone calls and e-mails to ensure that the Argentum value proposition is being consistently conveyed, sharing updates around new offerings that can enhance customers experience while driving additional revenue.
Deliver effective sales presentations both in person and via the phone.
New lead and business generation will be an ongoing requirements and will need to be accomplished through visiting competitive events, online research, web leads, industry magazines and referrals.
A complete understanding of Argentum offerings including but not limited to tradeshow exhibit space, sponsorships, print advertising, sponsored content, digital advertising, and custom opportunities.
Ongoing education and understanding of the industries and vertical segments associated with Argentum events both from a sales and attendee perspective.
Diligent use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for accurate sales tracking, sales pipeline management, and sales forecasts.
Collections outreach, when needed, to ensure customer payments are made in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as requested by the Vice President, Business Development.
Minimum Education and Experience:
One year or more related sales experience; bachelor's degree from four-year college/university is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Self-starter with a high caliber of business acumen and the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
Proven consultative sales experience and the ability to engage senior level decision makers is essential.
Highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal), problem solving skills, positive attitude, creativity, a desire to lead, a desire to serve, and a high degree of professionalism.
The ability to think in an interdisciplinary manner that takes into consideration not just sales but servicing, marketing, programming, and operations.
Trade show exhibit sales experience is preferred but not a requirement.
Computer skills and database experience required. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (or similar software), electronic/paperless sales processes, and exhibit floor management software is a plus.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation Model: Base salary + commissions, commensurate with history of sales success.

Additional Salary Information: $50,000-55,000 Base salary + Commissions
