The Sustaining Member (SM) Engagement Specialist is the main Point of Contact to all ~1,500 SAME Sustaining Member Companies and contributes to the long-term relationship building and personalized care of SMs. This position shall support, strengthen, and increase participation by streamlining our direct relationships with SM companies providing a much needed direct link between SAME and SM company leadership to the benefit of both. This position reports to the Member and Post Support Manager.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1) Build and maintain relationships with each Company’s National Points of Contact (NPOCs);
2) Serve as the main SAME National staff member to each SM Company at multiple levels, ensuring they are connected and engaged with our Posts;
3) Serve as the main SAME National staff member responsible for continual engagement processes at all levels of the companies from NPOC, to Executive Members, to Sustaining Member Post Reps and even CEO-level communications;
4) Constantly reengage and retain at-risk SM companies;
5) Support the Member and Post Support Manager on overall SAME metrics and SM campaigns to help analyze and grow SM membership.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in managing company membership relations.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in related association function.
Familiarity with Email Service Providers and previous database experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience in membership associations is desirable.
Experience with architecture, engineering or construction firms is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in business, association or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven track record in relationship building.
Ability to inspire and engage stakeholders, establishing trust and build long-term relationships, especially with industry representatives.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, affinity for networking and demonstrated high level of confidence and poise.
