TITLE OF ROLE: Chapter Relations Manager – Full Time
POSITION TYPE: Mid-Level Manager
HOURS: Monday-Friday 9am -5pm, this is an in-office position, no telecommuting available.
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
The Chapter Relations Manager is part of the team and provides support as well as superior customer service to Chapter leaders, members, and event attendees. This position is responsible for responding to Chapter leaders, member and non-member inquiries regarding chapter management, new chapter development, chapter compliance, membership, fundraising, donations, special events and programs, conference planning and registration support, and other general information.
This position serves as the primary manager of the association chapter relations and oversees/maintains complete accuracy of association chapter and membership records. This position requires a superior level of professionalism and outstanding people skills. A high-level of accuracy and close attention to detail are imperative. Notwithstanding the position description below, the position assignments will require flexibility to fulfill other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the organization.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the association's professional staff, working in a team-oriented environment, contributes to the overall success of the organization with the Executive Director, Board members, and staff.
Manages all aspects of chapter relations and annual compliance, develops new chapters and supports chapter leaders in successful chapter management and in fulfilling the mission of the organization.
Provides superior customer service to association chapter leaders, board members, members, event and conference attendees, and non-members.
Responds to Chapter leaders regarding Chapter affairs, records, roster updates, membership, membership records, conferences and events, event planning, and other general information.
Oversees and supports the updates member records on CRM and ensures accurate member data in database.
Oversees and supports the processes financial transactions on CRM, including new and renewing memberships, corporate memberships, donations, sales, and event registrations and generates reports.
Oversees and supports the generation of membership reports on a monthly basis.
Leads the development of process improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the chapter and membership services.
Investigates and reports on current best practices for chapter and membership services.
Prepares management and input to board reports, as required.
Oversees and supports membership renewals to meet organizational retention goals.
Supports, as necessary, the chapter monthly rebate process, including generating and sending monthly reports to chapter leaders.
Develops, produces and distributes reports from the membership system and event registration reports.
Develops presentations and presents to Chapters leaders and Board as requested.
Will be asked to cover the reception desk by handling the phones, at times.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public relations or related field.
Five to seven years’ association or non-profit experience.
Experience and knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
