The Member Relations Coordinator will assist the VP in organizing and administering Member Relations department plans to advance AWEA goals in the areas of membership, exhibition, sponsorship offerings, and advertising. In addition to administrative duties, the coordinator must have a clear vision of all department programs and be a self-starter with an ability to identify opportunities and improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate annual AWEA membership renewals and conduct follow up.
Monitor AWEA membership and conference/exhibition web pages and coordinate the necessary updates with appropriate staff.
Maintains AWEA membership and sales data to develop prospects and enhance member engagement--includes entering new members, updating contact information, maintaining committee rosters, prepares reports, and data analysis to monitor engagement performance and sales results. – Personify, Protech and A2Z.
Responds to inquiries about membership and services available to members.
Execute weekly sales reporting.
Distribute membership, exhibition and sponsor messaging through email portals – Blue Hornet and Outlook.
Manage membership and exhibition email and voicemail systems.
Coordinate and implement quarterly member briefing webinars.
Process invoices/payments and coordinate with finance as needed.
Coordinate and provide support for department meetings and activities.
Provide administrative support to department and SVP of MVE.
Perform other duties as assigned.
AWEA is a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high work demands under tight timelines. This position will frequently interact with members, AWEA staff and various vendors. Customer service, multi-tasking and detailed-oriented skills are necessary. Ability to adhere to timelines for phone and email responses and project deadlines is required.
Qualified applicants may possess any combination of education and experience enabling them to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. Preferred qualifications are: Bachelor’s degree in related field and 1 to 2 years of professional experience. Must be: proficient with MS Office, self-starter, detail-oriented, proactive, ability to multi-task and prioritize, have strong communication skills (both written and verbal); have strong collaborative and organizational skills. Knowledge of SharePoint, Personify or other AMS’ and a passion for renewable energy is a plus.
