JOB TITLE: Manager of Education
POSITION SUMMARY: This position manages the design, planning and execution of AEH’s leadership development and distance learning programs. As a member of the member services team, this position collaborates with leadership and program staff in addition to external stakeholders to develop and implement educational content that supports the organization’s mission. This position will also be engaged in identifying opportunities for derivative products or content integration across the organization from new and existing programs.
REPORTS TO: Director, Meetings and Education
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*:
Content curation, research, design, delivery and evaluation of the association’s leadership development and distance learning programs.
Identification, management and preparation of program presenters/facilitators.
Writes program descriptions and learner outcomes aimed at fostering adult learning techniques.
Collaborates with the marketing team to develop marketing materials.
Incorporates adult educational design principles into in-person and online learning activities.
Develops, monitors, and tracks program budgets.
Establishes and manages timelines and implementation plans for each leadership program.
Manages team members, consultants and others to develop the content, agendas and materials for the leadership development programs.
Manages the recruitment of leadership development program participants.
Prepares recruitment materials and coordinates outreach to members.
Serves as the liaison to members at all levels, from individuals participating in our leadership development programs, to advisory committee members.
Develops web content for online communities of current and past program participants.
Helps design and implement new leadership development products and product extensions.
Identifies opportunities to engage current and former members of our leadership programs in the volunteer activities of the association.
Maintains current knowledge of the latest trends in content delivery, adult learning theories, and distance learning technologies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required.
A minimum of five years of work experience in education, leadership development, or related educational setting with responsibility for deployment of adult educational programs in health care.
Demonstrated ability to critique, analyze, and present the outcomes of programs to a variety of audiences.
Strong organization, problem-solving, and customer relations skills.
Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate group discussions professionally and effectively.
Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Occasional travel and ability to travel on weekends is required
