The Research & Regulatory Management Council (RRMC) designs and develops required health and safety data for raw chemical manufacturers and companies that market end-use products. RRMC is a uniquely robust and flexible data generating and evaluating program that has sponsored 50 cooperative research projects efficiently and cost-effectively since 1985. RRMC provides contract and financial administration, communications support, and confidential handling of sensitive data for projects ranging from 3 to 125+ participants. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Education & Research, the Project Manager provides comprehensive project management by planning and coordinating all project activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished for multiple joint venture and task force programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates the program activities for members and consultants of multiple joint venture and task force groups.
Prepares data submissions and responses ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international agencies.
Prepares complex budgets, manages cash flow, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for multiple joint venture and task force programs.
Follows up with consultants, members, and vendors regarding unpaid invoices when necessary.
Develops RFIs and RFPs and manages various contracts on behalf of program members.
Transcribes and prepares detailed minutes of group meetings and conference calls and distributes relevant information to program members.
Provides assistance on relevant issues to program members as needed.
Provides regular status reports and project plans for program members.
Plans, organizes, and executes complex in-house and off-site meetings; prepares and distributes agendas for meetings; coordinates dates/times for multi-party conference calls.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required;
Minimum four years’ full-time work experience required; project management skills or paralegal skills preferred;
Financial and contract administration experience a plus; and
Must be able to safeguard confidential information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Microsoft® Office 365™, with emphasis on Excel
Knowledge of Microsoft® Sharepoint® and other file-sharing sites
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills (communication, teamwork) and personal effectiveness skills (decision making, time management)
Strong organizational skills
Self-starter who works well independently or in a team-oriented environment when necessary
Ability to manage changing priorities under tight deadlines
Ability to work flexible schedule to meet high volume work periods
Ability to interact with staff members, association members, CSPA Board of Directors, and RRMC program members in a polished professional manner
Must be available to travel overnight with extended stay (up to 7 days) to RRMC/CSPA sponsored events throughout the year as business needs dictate.
Must be available for international travel (one to two times per year).
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
