Position Objective: The Director, Digital Content Management (DDCM) position is responsible for content management on websites and other digital properties including supporting the development, editing, and maintenance of content, training and user support to staff in the use of the content management system and other online tools. The DDCM will keep the websites’ content current, accurate, and findable, as well as recommend strategies for search optimization and presentation enhancements. He/she will utilize quantitative and qualitative measurement methods to demonstrate achievement of objectives, and design strategies and tactics in response to metrics for continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Develops and maintains website content through the Society's content management systems (CMS) and serves as a resource with respect to writing, style, and content structure. 2. Manages multimedia content—develops new content, coordinates addition of new content, maintains existing content, and increases viewership. 3. Maintains, analyzes, and trains stakeholders in web analytics (Google analytics, email metrics, etc.) to continually improve web content and user experience. 4. Develops strategies and tactics to improve results based on analysis of metrics, and implements and manages tactical plan in response. 5. Keeps current on the latest technologies and best practices in managing digital content, identify potential areas of improvement, and recommends implementation strategies. 6. Manages lifecycle of microsites—identifies content needs, develops content strategies, designs wireframes, and plans/executes site updates to support campaigns. 7. Manages vendor partner relationships and identifies how vendor roadmaps and new features can enhance and optimize digital collaboration and mobile products. 8. Provides CMS technical support and guidance to content producers throughout the organization. 9. Demonstrates experience leading and maintaining existing website taxonomies and search performance. 10. Demonstrates experience leading and managing search engine optimization (SEO) performance. 11. Participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends, and best practices to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications: Scope and Depth of Technical Skills/Knowledge • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in IT, communications, marketing, or other related field. • 3+ years of work experience in the field of website content, with at least 2+ years of experience managing HTML and other digital assets. • Advanced understanding of HTML, content management systems, digital content development, information architecture, search engine optimization, web analytics, and accessibility. • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics • Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing web content. • Ability to train and support others on desktop and web-based applications. • Experience with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and ability to learn new technology platforms. • Experience with management of content management systems required. • Familiarity with best practices of page layout and design. • Basic knowledge of usability and user experience design.

Experience: • Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing and maintaining websites. Must possess strong and varied technical experience using a wide array of digital technologies.
Education: Knowledge Typically Acquired Through • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management with two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience Or • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience and • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in or for an association or professional society
