This position plays a critical role in driving $10M in annual gross revenue to support AAFP initiatives and programs that are in alignment with organizational mission and strategies. Particular interest is placed on the position to maintain and grow existing revenue streams for partnership programs; develop new net revenue streams and member value for the organization; and the ability to form multiple business relationships which result in long-term productive business relationships. This position also leads the growth of the AAFP Foundation Corporate Partner Program, and strategically aligns with the Executive Director of the AAFP Foundation with their fundraising efforts to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy. Position reports to the Senior Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Membership and serves as a member of the management team. Position supervises a staff of approximately 10-12 employees.
Bachelor’s degree or knowledge acquired through equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of ten years related work experience. Experience with contract negotiation and coordination; business promotional writing; spreadsheet software; knowledge of Associations/Non-profit organizations; experience managing a staff of employees and budget; working knowledge of consumer brands, their needs and marketing & partnership processes; working knowledge of classic product development, product launch and product management processes required. Ability to make presentations to a multitude of audiences and the ability to successfully influence at all levels of an organization needed. Sales experience and experience working in a healthcare industry in a sales or marketing capacity; or experience with corporate “prospecting” and/or corporate “development” a plus.
