The American College of Radiology seeks to hire a Board Administrator to assist in performing a broad array of governance activities. The primary focus of the position will include:
Promotion of Board of Chancellors (BOC) and Executive Committee (EC) activities including working with chair to establish agendas, draft minutes, establish a repository of documents, presentations, reports and policies;
Establishing best practices in BOC/EC preparation, execution, orientation and conduct;
Ensuring BOC compliance with Conflict of Interest and Code of Conduct policies;
Planning and administering a two-day orientation of new BOC and Council Steering Committee members;
Working with governance team to establish job descriptions, a mentoring program, an orientation manual and other resource materials to assist in on-boarding activities;
Establishing action reports for EVP consideration for post-meeting assignments and implementation;
Writing summaries and articles of Board meetings for ACR publications;
Working with meetings department in planning logistics, social programs, and meal functions associated with BOC and EC meetings;
Establishing all resources including agenda, written materials, presentations, BOC policies, draft/final minutes, and reports on BoardPaq. Includes establishing archival records for historical purposes;
Working with Accounting and Governance teams to establish travel policies;
Reviewing expense reports to ensure proper compliance with established policies;
Establishing budgets for all BOC and EC committee meetings and functions;
Working with BOC Self-Assessment Committee to survey members in an effort to provide a continuous feedback loop and ensure quality improvement of the BOC;
Coordinating the timely approval process for all internal/external ACR white papers and manuscripts;
Overseeing formal ACR convocation exercises including coordination of team members;
Working closely with governance and executive teams to ensure coordination of effort on multiple activities;
Participating in Governance and Membership Services Management Team to identify issues and facilitate solutions to improving ongoing practices and activities;
Undergraduate degree required;
Minimum of 6 plus years of professional experience with increasing responsibility and outstanding record of accomplishment;
Direct experience working for an organizational leader, Board or governance body preferred;
Exemplary customer-service background required;
Association, non-profit or executive administrative experience highly desired;
Proven ability to work with leadership and multiple staff teams;
Ability to work independently and exercise outstanding judgment;
Proven track record in project administration and/or management;
Outstanding organizational skills and awareness;
Understanding of organizational governance, policymaking and records management preferred;
Strong written and oral communications skills (background in editing useful);
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced ability to understand and utilize new software systems;
Commitment to continuous quality improvement, benchmarking and execution of organizational best practices; and
Dedication to professional growth and development.
