The Database Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technical operations related to the management and support of the organization’s Association Management System (AMS). The Database Manager will coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to leverage the AMS to meet evolving business needs.

Manage and Maintain AMS Database
Serve as the internal expert of the AMS. Understand and maintain detailed documentation of the organization's AMS database schema.
Provide guidance to internal and external customers on securely retrieving data from and writing data to the AMS database using the AMS API, webservices, etc.
Execute bulk database operations, batch jobs, backups, and restores.
Responsible for overseeing AMS related disaster recovery procedures and documentation.
Work closely with Business Intelligence Analyst to provide reports and self-service reporting for various stakeholders using tools including Crystal Reports and Tableau.
Assist Business Intelligence Analyst with data warehouse design and maintenance.
Understand and document how the organization implements the base AMS functionality and any customizations.
Work with Application Support Manager to understand and document the organization's business processes as they relate to the AMS. Understand AMS operations best practices and advise stakeholders of business process optimization opportunities.
Primary internal point of contact for AMS upgrades. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and AMS vendors to ensure upgrades proceed smoothly and efficiently.
Perform routine system security audits and serve as primary point of contact for external system audits of the AMS.
Primary contact for backend AMS support requests and third-party integrations. Document all support requests in the organization's ticketing system and provide timely issue and request updates to end users.
Monitor AMS infrastructure and escalate issues and outages to AMS infrastructure hosting team.
Provide tier 2 technical support for frontend AMS issues and requests.
Provide technical guidance and support to other IT team members.
Serve as technical lead and/or project manager for AMS and development related IT projects as appropriate. Gather requirements from business stakeholders and liaise with vendors and consultants for solution implementation.
Manage project plans, facilitate project status meetings, and track project deliverables.
Experienced with relational database design, data modeling, and reporting
Proficient with SQL and SQL scripting
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other RDMS's
Experience with reporting tools including Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, and Business Objects
General programming/scripting experience a plus
Familiarity with non-profit AMS systems or enterprise level CRM systems
Familiarity with Great Plains or comparable financial system
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project management experience
Willingness to learn and experiment with new and emerging technologies
