The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is recruiting for a Senior Production Coordinator reporting to the Senior Director, Channel Deployment.

The Senior Production Coordinator for Marketing and Communications manages production timeline and activities for all channels across the division, including CASE Currents, email campaigns, print pieces, web pages and newsletters. This person makes sure content is produced on time and on budget and is deployed in the correct channel at the correct time.
The core functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Manages production timelines and activities in support of conference and membership marketing activities. In coordination with the Senior Marketing Manager, establishes and monitors effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics to drive participation in CASE conferences, symposia, webinars, and other educational activities.
Establishes and maintains schedules for conference/symposia marketing activities.
Coordinates with members of the Education division regarding upcoming conferences/symposia to establish timelines for activities, and works with members of the Content team and Brand Expression team to ensure that marketing materials are on strategy, on time, and on budget.
Participates in and provides support to cross-organizational projects and initiatives.
Oversees CURRENTS’ production processes, including working with editorial staff, art director, advertising sales firm, and printer to make sure that each issue of the magazine is produced on time and within budget. Sets and maintains the production schedule for each issue as well as the annual production schedule.
Manages paid advertising in coordination with advertising firm, and helps gather and edit house ads. Checks imposition of the magazine against the ad list to make sure all ads have been included. Also works on creation of the Campus Buyers Guide.
Coordinates special advertising sections, as needed; maintains and supplements the CASE style guide for CURRENTS; handles reprint and permissions requests; and contributes to special projects, including compilations of “best of CURRENTS” articles for sale in downloadable formats.
Works with mail lists and publisher to make sure the magazine is sent out on time and to correct destinations (warehouse, conferences, etc) including wrap-up of the issue and filing of all contracts, invoices and postal information.
Maintains details of magazine management, including managing the mailing list, compiling print specs for the printer, and communicating with internal and external constituents. Provides advice and insight to magazine staff on copyright and licensing issues.
Works closely with the Senior Director of Channel Deployment to manage cross-team projects as necessary, including promotions related to membership retention and renewal, book launches, product roll-outs and digital projects. Must have excellent project management skills, and be adept at juggling competing priorities. Will assist in creating new processes that streamline channel deployment.
Fiscal Management/Budget Responsibilities/Judicious Use of Resources
Assists Senior Director with the development and monitoring of annual budget. Performs and manages to the established budget. Determines the necessary postage to deposit with USPS prior to mailing of CASE CURRENTS and other outreach materials. Maintains invoice files for all necessary and relevant expenditures related to the magazine and marketing materials. Works with editor in chief, art director, and printer to ensure that Currents budget stays in balance.
Exercises fiscal responsibility in the use of all CASE resources.
Works cooperatively with CASE team members in Education and Volunteer and Member Engagement to devise and monitor strategies to meet organizational goals.
Exhibits appropriate leadership toward and works cooperatively and supportively with all volunteer groups for which this position is responsible.
Liaises with colleagues in other parts of the world to ensure the best sharing of ideas, expertise and knowledge.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related discipline and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in production management role is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of and familiarity with Excel or related spreadsheets, Google Analytics, and other product management software. Strong editing and writing skills, solid understanding of grammar rules and familiarity of AP style, working knowledge of print management and production, experience working with a content management system, and proven skills in managing time, multiple and concurrent project details, and multiple priorities. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and professionally with all CASE constituents required.
