Small non-profit professional association is looking for an organized, self-motivated “people” person who has leadership experience in volunteer organizations or associations, to manage and run the association. **Must be Virginia based. Preferably Richmond** Duties are part administrative and part executive, so must be a quick learner and effective manager able to wear many hats. Looking for an outgoing person with great communication skills and strong MS Office, QuickBooks & WordPress or other website experience. Event planning experience and social media wizardry a plus. The position is part-time and much of the work can be done after-hours and on the weekend. It is a work-from-home position.
The position is also suitable for an Association Management Company or someone who manages a few associations.
Duties include: * Keeping Membership Records * Association Bookkeeping * Planning two small conferences a year and organizing board meetings * Marketing, including: - Designing conference publicity materials - e-mail marketing - Social Media marketing - Promoting the association to get new members and sponsors * Editing and distributing newsletters * Website design and keep website updated * Attending board meetings and conferences when required
