About the Role:
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Grants Administrator will support the financial administrative grant process by working collaboratively with internal staff, affiliate organizations and other key stakeholders. This position will manage the administration of sub-grants into the CIS Network, and ensure all grant deliverables are carried out.
The essential duties of this position are below:
Schedule and participate in meetings with Finance, Development, and Programs staff to discuss new grants and to review grant budget to actual progress.
Monitor federal grant spend down, ensuring all reporting requirements are met and the teams are up to date and informed on federal regulations.
Update monthly grant budget and salary tracking spreadsheets to monitor organizational spending against grant expectations and allocation of restricted funds.
Assist in completing grantor financial reports for the Development staff.
Prepare and submit drawdown requests for federal grants.
Prepare sub-recipient agreements for all new sub-grants to be reviewed by the Associate Director of Grants Management.
Create and maintain sub-grant Salesforce records.
Monitor Salesforce reports to ensure timely action on grant requirements and payments.
Contact sub-grant recipients as necessary to alert them of outstanding requirements or problems with their submitted financial reports.
Initiate sub-grant payments to the Finance team at appropriate times.
Manage federally funded sub-grants given to Affiliates, ensuring that they understand and are capable of meeting federal reporting requirements.
Potentially manage a portfolio of CIS's smaller grants.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of four years’ work experience in tracking actual program expenses against a budget and monitoring programmatic performance against funders’ objectives is required.
Experience managing federal grants is highly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Meticulous attention to detail, as well as outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain calm under pressure.
Travel Minimal travel required.
