This Director-level member of the Coin Laundry Association (CLA) team will lead CLA’s membership recruitment, retention and engagement/member service initiatives with a major emphasis on implementing our strategic plan to internalize our current affiliate chapters and expand the association’s reach to more local markets under a new vision of better meetings in more places for more members.
· Execute Board-approved plan to internalize CLA’s existing affiliate chapter program (15 groups) and develop additional sections/communities of interest in key markets throughout the U.S.
· Manage and grow new plan going forward including: 2x/month visits to local section meetings, liaison with local advisory councils and pursue new member recruitment.
· Collaborate with executive management staff and marketing director on refresh of membership benefit package and future membership recruitment campaigns.
Oversee all administrative functions and manage membership department staff including: new member onboarding process, member engagement/retention program, dues billing/invoicing and reporting membership performance to executive management.
Best candidates will embrace opportunity to engage the membership in the field and immediately begin building relationships that support and grow the association’s mission:
Minimum 8-10 years association experience or similar with solid grasp of best practices for member engagement.
Practical background in meeting planning with ability to design enhanced attendee experiences will be critical to success.
Professional disposition toward relationship-building and hospitality with members, volunteers and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated strong project management ability along with excellent communications skills (including public speaking).
Travel requirements will average two, one-day visits per month to support local meetings with occasional requirement for multi-day trips to conventions or board meetings.
