Strategic Planning: Ensures that NC Services for Dentistry’s corporate vision, mission and core value statements are current and relevant. Leads NC Services for Dentistry’s board in the creation of a strategic business plan that is consistent with the organization’s mission, vision and values, changing regulatory and compliance environment, competitive marketplace, and goals of strategic business partners. Directs the identification of new product and service opportunities as well as the elimination of current products or services based on emerging customer needs. Identifies and projects the financial (revenue and expense), human resources and capital budget resources necessary to achieve a plan. Reviews and updates the plan annually.
Financial Performance: Leads the development of the annual tactical financial plan driven by NC Services for Dentistry’s strategic plan. Translates plan goals into achievable financial objectives. Ensures that revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures are consistent with the growth projected in the strategic plan. Monitors financial and market trends against budget and works to minimize unfavorable variances.
Board of Directors Development: Coordinates the regular and special meetings of NC Services for Dentistry’s board of directors. Directs the preparation of agenda items and supporting documentation. Plans and conducts board’s strategic planning process. Works with the nominating committee to identify qualified candidates for open board positions.
Vendor and Business Partner Relationship Development: Develops and maintains peer relationships with vendor and business partners. Negotiates development and distribution agreements for products and services that mutually benefit NC Services for Dentistry and its vendors and business partners.
Products and Services Development: Directs the research, design, development, capabilities alignment, and associated fee and commission structures for new products and services. Negotiates compensation packages with vendors and business partners that link revenue with achieved levels of sales and services. Leads the development and roll-out of new products or services. Works with stakeholders as appropriate to ensure assessment of product and services viability post-launch.
Education: BS or BA Degree, MBA preferred.
Technical Skills: Maintains (if necessary) current Registered Representative Series 6 License, Series 24 Financial Principles License, Series 63 Blue Sky License, Property/Casualty and Life/Health License.
Additional Salary Information: $120,000 annually plus benefits. Bonus potential contingent on achieving defined financial goals.
