The senior manager, regional councils and chapters is the perfect fit for an experienced component relations and member engagement specialist looking to take their experience to the next level. The senior manager will have management oversight for ASA’s state components which include 10 regional councils and 16 chapters. This position will have to opportunity to work across all association functions to integrate these components into our overall member engagement strategy. Responsibilities include volunteer management and relationship building, leadership and program development, grassroots advocacy efforts, member service, resource development, meeting management, sponsorship cultivation, marketing and communications, and financial oversight. This position will manage two additional team members. Travel is required.

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of five to seven years association management experience. Experience with component relations, councils, or chapters is required. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects; and competency using technology, including Microsoft Office applications and database management. Should have strong customer service and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, manage projects with accuracy and attention to detail, and meet deadlines in a demanding, busy, fast-paced environment. Strong writing and editing skills required; should be comfortable with public speaking and frequent travel.
