The National Renderers Association seeks a Director of Communications to manage the organization’s expanding communications and marketing program. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership and implementation of strategic communications, sustainability rebranding, media relations and public awareness across print, electronic and multichannel platforms. The Director will position the association with members and other stakeholders through strong, clear and consistent communications and marketing to support strategic organization goals. Responsibilities also include developing relationships with key external partners, crisis communications and public speaking. The position reports to the president and CEO.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressively responsible communications experience, preferably with a corporation or trade association in food or agriculture. A BA degree in journalism, communications or related field is required, an MS degree in agriculture a plus. Must have strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail. Non-profit/trade association experience preferred.
