Full-time Frankfort-based position is responsible for the research, recruitment and coordination of the association’s Affiliate membership program. Primary functions include fostering and growing mutually beneficial relationships; promoting sponsorship packages; coordinating the exhibitor trade shows at association conferences and advertising for the Kentucky School Advocate magazine. Position will also develop strategy to grow contributions for the Kentucky School Boards Education Foundation. Position collaborates regularly with the communications department to plan, write and create supporting marketing materials.
A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree required with preferred concentrations in business, public relations, marketing, sales or related field. Minimum two years of full-time professional experience in sales, fundraising, customer recruitment/relations or related field (three to five years preferred); must be innovative, creative and possess the ability to develop new projects; must be highly organized and attentive to details; must be self-directed with excellent administrative and time management skills; must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), internet research skills, business writing and editing; database experience preferred. Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment. Must possess ability to balance a demanding workload, managing multiple, concurrent projects under deadlines.
Work involves moderate in-state travel, with occasional evening and weekend work, including overnight stays on occasions.
