The Florida Swimming Pool Association seeks an Industry Advocacy Coordinator. Coordinator supports regulatory and lobbying efforts led by the association’s outside consultants; serves as the primary contact for members on government relations issues and as staff liaison to association volunteer councils; leads coordination of legislative events. This position also supports similar efforts of the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association, an organization managed by the Florida Swimming Pool Association.
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Government, or a related experience. Proficiency with MS Office, excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in an organized, timely manner and must be extremely detail-orientated. This person is expected to develop a solid understanding of the swimming pool industry and solar energy industry. Must demonstrate ability to master complex information including laws and statutes, building codes and regulations. Candidate must possess the ability to coordinate projects from development to implementation. Requires strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Overnight travel, early morning, holiday, evening or weekend hours required.
