Nature and Scope of the NBCRNA: The National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting patient safety by enhancing provider quality in the field of nurse anesthesia. We accomplish our mission through the development and implementation of credentialing programs that support lifelong learning among nurse anesthetists.
There are over 50,000 certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) in the United States working in every health care setting, in both rural and urban areas, in every state. The rigorous and demanding initial education and training, followed by the ongoing continued certification, places nurse anesthetists at the forefront of a growing movement to ensure continuing competency in health care practitioners.
Position Summary:Provide administrative support for multiple departments in the office. Primary staff member to greet and screen guests/vendors at front door and provide support for volunteer committee meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for database of volunteer committee members. Oversee appointment letters, participation agreements and correspondence
Greet guests/vendors and assist with their questions/needs
Word processing, spreadsheet development, database access and information entry and maintenance
Maintain inventory of office supplies/kitchen supplies
Support all departments with general administrative projects relating to but not limited to responding to emails, preparing mailings, copies, and project support
Other duties as assigned

Strong business communication skills, both verbal and writing
Ability to handle a high volume of inquiries accurately and efficiently
Demonstrated competency skills in MS Office Suite
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize projects
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Prior office experience required (1-3 years)
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience.
The National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting patient safety by enhancing provider quality in the field of nurse anesthesia. We accomplish our mission through the development and implementation of credentialing programs that support lifelong learning among nurse anesthetists. Each year well over 2,400 individuals pass the NBCRNA’s National Certification Examination and are able to enter into specialty nurse anesthesia practice. In addition, well over 50,000 nurse anesthetists in the United States and its territories participate in the recertification process on a periodic basis throughout their careers.
