PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Website Content Specialist will report direct to the Marketing Director and is responsible for posting, editing, and maintaining the website content using the IMIS / RISE content management system (CMS).
This hire should have a deep understanding of how to work in a CMS and be able to use that understanding to train others on the CMS platform and answer impromptu questions. If needed, this hire will create documentation on the CMS including step-by-step procedures that can be distributed to others within the organization and chapter organizations.
The Website Content Specialist will work closely with internal content creators including the marketing director, events manager, Bookstore manager, and education director. This hire will need to take content from raw text and implement it in the CMS. This hire will commit to the working within the design framework set by the Marketing Director.
When there is a technical problem or request outside of the direct scope of the Website Content Specialist role, the right hire will pull in other department / resources to make sure the request is handled. Developing an understanding of PCI’s organization coupled with timely and effective communication is key.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Post, edit, and maintain all of PCI’s website content
Possess a deep understanding of content management systems, specific experience with IMIS / RISE is preferred but not required
Create and maintain documentation for the CMS and website
Train internal users and Chapter key contacts on the operations and maintenance of the CMS
Work with internal and Chapter content creators to take raw text to website content
Adhere to strict content and design guidelines set by the Marketing Director
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of roles ranging from IT to graphics designers to executives
Coordinate with key project, IT, and internal resources on requests outside the direct scope of this role
Work with PCI marketing team to use analytics to identify additional content and optimization opportunities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3+ years’ experience working in a CMS system, IMIS / RISE preferred
3+ years using WYSIWYG tools
3+ years in a customer facing role
Familiarity with HubSpot, iNFORMZ , Google Analytics and other website and digital customer lifecycle management analytics tools.
Basic high-level understanding of web programming languages like HTML CSS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Ability to complete tasks on-time and with minimal re-direction from a supervisor
Demonstrated ability to work with a team to complete complex assignments
