Edison Electric Institute, one of the of the nation’s premier trade associations, has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager, Meeting Services. This position will manage the contracting process for all EEI meetings (approximately 75) to include sending out leads and negotiating hotel contracts. The Manager will also assist with the pre-planning and onsite arrangements for CEO/Board conferences as well as coordinate and monitor the housing blocks for key EEI events. The Manager will oversee the Annual Convention registration from pre-planning to on-site. Other duties include working with EEI’s creative team and updating the conference website.
Minimum of 5 years of meeting planning experience
3 years of high-volume contract negotiation experience with major hotel chains.
Knowledge of database management and registration systems is also required
