Our Association Management Team is a specialized group of professionals who work to understand the client’s vision and support the board and committees as they focus on high-level goals to ensure the association’s successful future.
As a Chapter Coordinator, provide support for, and monitor the compliance of 80+ affiliated independent groups (the equivalent of chapters) for a large association headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We’re always striving to find ways to do things better, ensuring our customers have the best experience possible, so we look to our employees to help us improve.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support for 80+ OAUG Geographic (Geo) and Special Interest Groups (SIG), the Geo/SIG Committee, Geo/SIG Coordinators, the Manager of Geos/SIGs, and other team members as required
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records pertaining to affiliated groups
Follow-up with affiliated groups to ensure compliance
Maintain meeting calendar for affiliated groups by updating the OAUG website with current Geo and SIG event information and content
Coordinate shipment of marketing materials and other items to affiliated group meetings
Assist with scheduling affiliated group meetings at conferences
Attend conferences to assist with on-site duties
Efficiently and professionally handle all telephone, written and electronic inquiries and requests for information
Prepare necessary reports for client and team meetings
Assist with various Geo and SIG website platform updates and provide tutorials to volunteer webmasters
Schedule and facilitate educational webinars for affiliated groups
Schedule, draft and send marketing email communications for individual Geo and SIG groups and a bi-monthly newsletter to the leaders of the affiliated groups
Assist with the development and implementation of new programs
Assist with other administrative projects and duties as required
2-4 years of customer service and data management experience
2 or 4-year college degree is preferred
Prior experience in the association management industry is desirable.
Experience with content management systems such as JOOMLA for website content updates preferable.
Uses independent judgment and can manage multiple priorities while meeting short and long-term deadlines is essential
Positive attitude with strong organization, follow-up and time management skills
Self-directed, flexible, team-player
Strong communications and interpersonal skills and able to interact well with clients and members
Excellent computer and database management skills; experience in Microsoft Office and Excel applications
