Washington, DC association is seeking a self-starter to perform a broad range of administrative and educational programs support to departmental staff in a fast-paced setting. Duties include, but are not limited to administrative and data management support for major meetings, workshops, seminars, webinars and online educational programs/services.
Previous experience working at an association, academic institution, non-profit or foundation, preferred. High school graduate (some college preferred) with a minimum 5 years of related experience. The position requires a high degree of skill with grammar, spelling and punctuation as well as ability to compose accurate, neat and complete correspondence. Excellent skills and high proficiency with the entire MS Office Suite are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proofreading skills are also required. Experience with netForum is a plus. Must be able interact comfortably with all levels of staff as well as APTA members. Individual must be capable of performing substantial administrative functions and work with minimum supervision. Individual must be able to handle several projects simultaneously. Superior organizational skills are a must. Some travel may be required.
