USA Rice announces an immediate opening for a Manager, Domestic Promotion at our Washington, D.C.-area headquarters.
USA Rice conducts domestic marketing programs to create and enhance awareness and increase usage and speed acceptance of U.S.-grown rice among influencer audiences and consumers. USA Rice influencer audiences include health professionals, foodservice operators and communicators, grocery retailers, culinary professionals, food policy officials, and trade, health and consumer media.
Position responsibilities: Manage the strategic and creative development and implementation of USA Rice’s marketing activities. Plays a key role in the creation and execution of programs intended to speed acceptance and increase use of U.S. rice in the domestic arena. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with individuals and organizations specializing in food issues that communicate with consumers, food writers, dietitians, foodservice and culinary professionals, and food and nutrition government offices. Responsible for coordinating activities and efforts of several partner organizations and contractors in the food space and monitoring and identifying food trends. Also responsible for consumer-facing social media platforms of the organization including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Supervises and manages outside contractors in executing publicity and education programs.
Requirements: Minimum 3-5 Years of experience. Must have demonstrated success in marketing communications/public relations field, preferably within the food or agriculture space industry. Creativity, a strong writer, and ability to work on tight deadlines are important traits for success. Graphic design experience or a keen eye and ability to understand market trends are also pluses. Salary commensurate with experience.
