The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) seeks a Public Affairs Coordinator to perform administrative functions in support of the Office of Public Affairs. The individual will plan conferences and meetings, conduct research and outreach projects, manage departmental finances, supervise temporary employees and contractors, create charts, graphs, and data complications, publish the Washington Update (newsletter), coordinate the design and production of public affairs factsheets, take and prepare minutes, and write articles, press releases, and other content as necessary.
The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree, three to five years related experience, and demonstrate expert proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data management, software/web applications, and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Excellent attention to detail, customer service, and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment under pressure and meet deadlines are required.
Candidates must have 3-5 years’ related experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a minimum requirement of college courses with related work experience is required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, strong customer service skills, organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. Candidates must have strong MS Office Suite skills, and they must be proficient with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
