|Responsibilities include: • Provide management support for all aspects of running operations for an association • Collaborate on tradeshow and membership communications, and marketing plans • Work with Committee leaders and members to assure that each Committee has a clear strategy for accomplishing defined goals in a timely fashion; prepare meeting agendas, minutes and other meeting documents as required; prepare visual aids and hand-outs as required • Direct the delivery of education programs and development in accordance with association strategic plans • Planning various types of meetings and tradeshows from initiation through final billing including coordinating logistics (F&B, AV, etc.), education content and provide onsite meeting management. • Work with leaders and fellow staff to identify new projects, develop detailed execution plans, and assure that projects developed are completed by specific deadlines • Travel to tradeshows and conferences/meetings for onsite management. |
SKILLS AND TRAITS: • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Suite, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Expocad required. • The ideal candidate will have association experience, have been in the workforce at least 3 years, and have a high energy level and expectations for advancement. • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, legal documents, and governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedures; write newsletters, flyers, and advertising content for distribution to members and to the public; efficiently respond to questions from membership and staff; communicate effectively in both written and oral form; able to effectively present information to association leadership, both in one-on-one and group situations. • MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS: Knowledge of the principles and techniques of association management and non-profit association management. Knowledge of principles and practices of marketing and public relations. Represents the association with the utmost professional image at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Four-year undergraduate degree preferred • Minimum 3 years Association, non-profit or AMC experience required
