State trade association is seeking a dynamic, organized individual to plan and coordinate over 40 events including a Midwestern conference and trade show, a golf outing, networking events and meetings.
Qualified candidates will have a background in conference and meeting planning, including site selection and contract negotiation skills, meeting room set-ups, meal planning, and audio visual set ups, and speaker and entertainment selection. Candidates should also have experience working with member volunteers and committees.
A minimum of two years of association experience including events, meetings, and committee support, Knowledge of the event and/or hospitality industry is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidates should also be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and be technology savvy.
