Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL), in Reston, VA, is seeking a talented, energetic, and hardworking communications manager. This individual will develop content and prepare the layout and design of all association print and online publications, i.e., national print magazine, online newsletters, conference guides and programs, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring editorial and production schedules; writing and managing all aspects of editorial content and execution of publication and electronic communications; social media efforts; and writing speeches and press releases.
Successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, website content management systems, social media tools, and mobile apps; working knowledge of production and printing processes; excellent project management, editing, time management, communication, and computer skills; and familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style. This position requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3–5 years of related experience. Travel to our annual conference is required.

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The association has four divisions: Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) for high school students; FBLA-Middle Level for junior high, middle, and intermediate school students; Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) for ...postsecondary students; and Professional Division for businesspeople, FBLA-PBL alumni, educators, and parents who support the goals of the association. FBLA-PBL is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and organized on local, state, and national levels. The first high school chapter was chartered in Johnson City, Tennessee on February 3, 1942. In 1958, the first PBL collegiate chapter was chartered in Iowa. The Professional Division, originally the Alumni Division, began in 1979. Joining FBLA-PBL in 1994 was the FBLA-Middle Level for students in grades 5-9. The national board of directors is comprised of local teachers, state educators, business leaders, and the division presidents.
