The Publications Manager writes, edits, designs and manage distribution of print and digital versions of association magazine and industry journal, and also manages book publications. Editor must have outstanding written language skills, organization and managerial skills, university degrees in English, communications, journalism, or a related field, and interest in technical nature of financial related industry.
Minimum of four years’ experience in writing, editing, designing for a publication and be proficient in Chicago style, have strong written communication skills, and strong copyediting skills.
Ability to manage multiple publications at a time.
Overall responsibility for style and content of the publications
Responsible for assignments for staff and freelance creative writers, artists, and photographers, including establishing deadlines.
Work with members of industry to cultivate feature articles
Reviews submitted materials, working with review committee on journal article suitability for publication.
Coordinating and reviewing editing and layout of publication.
Oversee distribution of the physical and electronic copies of journals and periodical.
Work with advertisers on sales and placement of ads.
Works with committees and other staff on managing publication of textbooks and other book publications.
