Summary Description of Position:
The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Professional will oversee the development and management of a learning strategy, as well as an annual business plan for (ISC)’s continuing education/professional development offerings that keeps pace with members’/customers’ evolving needs. This position will be responsible for program design and evaluation and will initiate changes in current programs to ensure that both participant learning needs and revenue goals are met or exceeded, and the learning experiences are high quality and high impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate (ISC)2’s current continuing education/professional development offerings and existing CPE credit policy and recommend changes to the overall program structure
Identify the learning needs of cybersecurity professionals to help them stay current and maintain continuing professional competence
Design and plan curricula for cybersecurity continuing education programs/courses targeted to (ISC)2 members by certification and key topical area
Develop, implement, and evaluate in-person and online CPE courses/learning opportunities based on learning needs assessments, organizational priorities, and other informational sources
Collaborate with other cybersecurity continuing education providers to review, evaluate and select and offer courses appropriate for (ISC)2 members
Keep current on developments in cybersecurity as well as continuing education accreditation requirements and preferred modes of learning
Ensure requirements for continuing education accreditation are met in planning and implementation
Identify and manage strategic partners as they relate to content and conference programming.
Utilize principles of adult learning in all aspects of educational activities
Miscellaneous duties, as assigned.
Master’s Degree in Education, Adult Education or related field
7 – 10 years’ experience required
Solid communication skills, including the ability to be effective orally and in writing with both executive level stakeholders and with team members working at a more detailed level
Demonstrated success in developing and growing professional education and credentialing programs as revenue-producing business lines
Ability to think creatively about how to solve business challenges, and translate member needs and issues into relevant programs
Knowledge of best practice in adult learning, distance learning, education program design, and development and evaluation
Experience and demonstrated skill in working with subject matter experts in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively, and act in a lead role with subject matter experts within a team environment to meet specific goals and pre-defined measurement criteria
Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships with service providers and vendors
Innovative, entrepreneurial and strategic thinker

Experience in a highly regulated industry is helpful but not required

Flexibility to adapt quickly and easily to changing situation and priorities in a calm and professional manner
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when necessary
