About the Position
The Events Department manages the logistics and event staffing for client events. Event communications are a collaborative effort of the Event, Account, and Communications staff. Services include site selection, vendor selection, volunteer management, registration tracking, day-of preparation and on-site registration staffing and support.
Must be willing to do everything from stuffing envelopes to brainstorming the next big thing. Includes personnel management.
Assist with site research, selection and on-site staffing
Assist with menu planning, flow layout and BEO review
Assist with on-site event management
If applicable, coordinate event logistics with venue management
Ensure necessary materials for event management are taken to event
Staff onsite registration
Create and mail various letters (information, confirmation, thank you etc.) to speakers, exhibitors and sponsors
Assist with speaker pre-event and on-site needs (travel, AV, hotel, etc.)
Provide HQ office support or provide on-site support
Research support vendors
Assist with support vendors as needed
Complete special projects as assigned ... and a little bit of everything. Responsibilities are as diverse as the organizations we support.
