Administers and manages all aspects of the operations of the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact (PTLC) Commission. Monitors regulation implementation and compliance. Provides information, education, and outreach regarding the PTLC. Provides assistance to jurisdictions implementing the Compact including testimony. Conducts data and trend analysis. Justifies, hires and supervises additional staff when needed. Develops the budget for approval by the PTLC Commission Executive Committee
Hires and manages PTLC Commission staff
Administers and manages all aspects of the operations of the PTLC including budget development and monitoring, and development and updating of policies and procedures.
Develops and implements marketing campaign strategies.
Works on development and maintenance of online systems to support multiple stakeholder groups including PT/PTA licensees, state board staff, commission staff and the public.
Provides support to the PTLC Chair, Administrators and Executive Committee in the execution of its responsibilities. Works in consultation with PTLC chair to develop meeting agendas, materials, minutes, annual budget, and provides staff support for all PTLC meetings.
Creates and monitors management reports to ensure that operations are conducted efficiently, timely and in a customer-oriented manner.
Develops implementation strategies for regulation compliance and implements a systematic process for monitoring compliance of party states with compact statutes, rules, and policies. Annually reviews policies and procedures for currency and compliance. Provides an annual compliance report.
Organizes and participates in development and implementation of the PTLC Commission strategic plan. Ensures all strategic plan activities are completed in stated time frames. Monitors and reports on strategic plan progress and implements record and retention procedures. Conducts environmental assessments.
Conducts outreach and public relations related to the PTLC including effective management of external relationships and a customer service program. Provides presentations, education, and develops briefing papers on issues of concern.
Identifies and monitors developments regarding state and federal legislation, proposed regulation, budget and health reform proposals impacting the PTLC.
Develops and maintains a repository of informational and educational materials and collects and analyzes pertinent data related to the PTLC. Develops and implements a uniform system of data collection for financial, disciplinary, non-disciplinary alternative programs, workforce, and compact privilege utilization.
Maintains and ensures the website is current and accurate and publishes a newsletter
Experience: 5+ years’ experience in management positions, progressing in responsibility, dealing with the management of customer-centric, production-oriented services. Experience in healthcare regulation or professional associations is desirable.

Intermediate level technical skills. MS Office. Web based products; familiarity with survey applications.
Working Conditions: General office environment including the use of computers, telephone, copiers. Some weekend work required.
Travel: Travel expected 5-10 times per year.
