The Associate Director will be responsible for providing client services to both professional trade association and society clients and reports to the Executive Director. The primary objective of the Associate Director is to effectively manage daily association operations at the direction of the Executive Director. It may require communications and independent interaction with volunteer leaders including Officers, Board Members, and Committee Chairs, as well as with the general membership and others associated with or interested in the association.
Principle Duties: Duties include all aspects of association management such as: • Managing general membership needs including recruitment and other duties as required. • Application/approval process, and retention according to association policies • Marketing of association, its programs and events, writing original content for newsletters, journals, brochures, and website • Participating in meeting and conference planning, all preparations for Board and Committee Meetings including drafting agendas and minute taking • Coordinating and distributing materials pre and post meeting • Advertising and sponsorship sales • Managing the delivery of member programs and services • Oversee approval, verification, and management of CEU programs

Ability to work independently, manage schedule and meet timelines.
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Superior Microsoft office application and database management experience
Ability to organize details with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaboratively with functional support departments, and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
Must possess strong ethical values; maintain confidentiality, and the ability to manage the workload for multiple clients simultaneously.
Provide guidance and oversight to associates, manage resources.
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required. A background in education, healthcare or nursing is desired. • 3-5 years experience in non profit management or similar service oriented business model preferred.
