AAUW seeks a dynamic employee to serve as a full-time Senior Website Associate, Site Resources. The Senior Website Associate manages a nationwide network of more than 500 websites and pages for AAUW states, branches, affiliated programs, and entities and sets the parameters of this program.
Lead the Site Resources redesign project, implement next generation level services, and refine the Site Resources digital marketing strategy in support of revenue goals. Identify and implement innovative improvements, advanced functionality and features to enhance business objectives.
Manage day-to-day operations for branch and state websites delivered under the aauw.net domain. Act as lead website customer liaison to all affiliated entities and student organization clients providing excellent customer service.
Track incoming web production requests and guide them through planning and execution. Manage production workflow for new subscriber sites and advance the priorities of clients. Ensure daily requests and concerns are resolved in a timely manner and in compliance with the Website Services Agreement.
Post content and update or remove outdated and expired pages from the websites.
Migrate static web content from legacy branch and state websites and ensure a continuity of service from established domains (where applicable).
Ensure that AAUW branch and state websites are aligned with AAUW’s mission and branding, and optimized for search engines and mobile usage.
Perform quality assurance, site audits, maintain consistent branding, look and feel, and functionality across web properties. Review content and images for compliance with AAUW style guidelines.
Monitor website traffic, perform comparative research, and report analysis to clients on a regular basis.
Regularly survey client experience to assess system performance, analyze user experience. Collect requirements and feedback constructively to refine services. Conceptualize, document, and deploy new website functionality.
Customize WordPress page templates, themes, and plugins.
Provide tech support to clients, educating and training users on how to make changes to their WordPress websites. Develop video-based webinars and training materials for on-demand learning opportunities.
Responsible for various aspects of website production, design, maintenance and overall functionality.
Collaborate with AAUW digital content team to plan editorial calendar and ensure inclusion of Site Resources within the organizational communications strategy.
Draft informational and marketing materials concerning the functionality and benefits of Site Resources for client recruitment and retention purposes.
Coordinate monthly invoicing of customers with Finance to ensure payment for services.
Keep up-to-date on new technologies, best practices, and their strategic uses for AAUW.
Perform other related/comparable tasks as required and assigned.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in website development, production, and social media.
Proven front and back end web development with PHP5.
Experience with WordPress Network Mode (multisite) and responsive design techniques. Experience with third party tools such as MailChimp, Gravity Forms, PayPal, and Google Analytics desired.
Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency resolving cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
Experience implementing and developing within content management systems.
Proven experience with Photoshop and other graphics tools. Knowledge of user interface design principles, web design best practices, and a strong visual design sensibility.
Superior project management and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer service and relationship building skills; ability to work with all levels of staff and the public.
Proven ability to multitask, set and meet deadlines, work independently and collaboratively.
Strong writing skills with experience writing original content for websites or blogs.
Oversee work of Website Production Intern.
BA or BS degree augmented by practical web development.
Interest in programs that promote equity and education for women and girls.
