Recruitment and retention: Develop, implement, and analyze membership marketing plans to meet association goals.
Member Services: Fulfill member and prospect inquiries.
Marketing: Develop, implement and monitor marketing campaigns and materials for education and certification programs as directed.
Database: Update/add/research/run queries and reports on members and prospects using the association management database (netFORUM).
Website: Maintain/monitor and update membership section of website using the content management system.
Communications: Responsible for developing membership communications in NIRI publications and communicate with management on marketing initiatives.
Supports: Chief Membership Officer
Implement marketing plans through various marketing channels, including email, direct mail, social media, web, and phone.
Maintain prospects on database; prospect sources include purchased lists, NIRI website registrants, social media outlets, research, search engines, etc. Assist chapters with prospect lists and recruitment.
Maintain and update the membership sections of the NIRI website.
Respond to member requests, monitoring email, mail, and phone communications.
Write monthly “NIRI Now” column on NIRI benefits and services for IR Update magazine.
Write and update online Membership section of the IR Weekly e-newsletter.
And other duties as assigned.
Experience working in a membership organization.
Excellent customer service skills including online, written, and phone communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with online content marketing and social media development with strong analytical and communications skills.
Experience with association management databases.
Knowledge of content management systems with basic HTML skill or/and ability to learn business related applications.
Knowledge of graphic design applications favorable.
Requires some local travel to chapter meetings, and overnight travel for approximately one week per year to NIRI Annual Conference at various locations in the U.S.
