The Online and Emerging Media Specialist leads and coordinates the AFMRD communications, website, and social media for the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors (AFMRD) and performs limited project support for the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with members, partners and colleagues holding a wide variety of positions. Possible 10 days travel per year.

Bachelor's degree or knowledge acquired through equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of four years related experience. This position requires a high degree of organization and an ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet tight deadlines, with proven skills in web content management, project management, strong writing and editing, analytical skills and sound judgment. Incumbent must be comfortable learning the Socious Web Content and Association Management System and social media platforms (requires minimal HTML programming knowledge). Experience working with leadership in associations and ability to integrate marketing tactics and strategies preferred. Knowledge of graduate medical education helpful.
