The Instructional Technologist is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of continuing education courses (50% of the time) and the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) (50% of the time). This includes creating and maintaining eLearning, instructor-led, blended courses, audio and video components, and other resources for allied health audiences. The Instructional Technologist also manages the LMS, the operational performance of the LMS, and the overall relationship and communication between the LMS vendor and AMT.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of five years related experience.
Authoring experience using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring.
Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
Visual design skills and ability to storyboard.
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
Experience with video editing software.
Experience with image manipulation (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) desirable.
Experience using a learning management system.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Program/project management experience desirable.
Ability to collect data, create reports, and prepare written communication with an attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience performing hands-on customer service support by phone and e-mail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-reliant and capable of quickly solving problems and resolving conflicts at various levels.
Ability to think critically and make decisions based on instructions and previous experience.
