Description: Responsible for providing administrative support for Department of Research programs and committee activities.
Provides administrative assistance, including handling internal and external correspondence by telephone, mail and email; meeting scheduling; maintaining calendars and files; making ground travel arrangements; coding invoices for payment; and checking and submitting expense reports to Accounting.
Schedules meetings and conference calls and organizes and distributes agenda material for the Committee on Scientific Affairs, Research Development Committee, Quality Improvement Committee, and selected QIBA groups.
Provides administrative support for committee meetings, and workshops offered by the Department of Research, including the Advanced Course in Grantwriting, NIH Grantsmanship Workshop, Introduction to Academic Research, Introduction to Research for International Young Academics, Writing a Competitive Grant Proposal Workshop, Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop, Comparative Effectiveness Research, RSNA VOICE, and Creating and Optimizing the Research Enterprise programs.
Works closely with the Manager: Research Development Program Operations to plan and execute program mailings and communications.
Organizes meeting and course materials, and assists with maintenance of program-specific webpages, Dropbox folders and Listservs.
Responsible for accurate and timely data entry in program databases.
Maintains accurate records and ACCME documentation for relevant research development and grant writing programs.
With guidance, coordinates logistical details of meeting arrangements, including transportation, hotel rooming lists, food selections, and expense reports.
Maintains department records, including documentation for all research development programs and related databases.
Assists with the implementation of special projects, and supports assigned functions at the RSNA Annual Meeting.
Two or more years of experience in an administrative capacity preferred
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Proficiency in Google Docs and SharePoint preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to work with staff and highly-educated volunteers
Flexibility and willingness to accept change
Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
