The American Planning Association is seeking a fantastic, friendly, patient, can-do, flexible, and team-oriented individual to handle customer service and other tasks related to the National Planning Conference. This is a temporary, hourly position and is expected to run from early-January through late-April.
Managing large amount of incoming calls and email inquiries.
Assist customers with online registration process, changes and cancellations.
Assist with entering and editing of registration data within iMIS database.
Review name badge and mailing information and make edits as needed.
Assemble pre-registration packets for mailing.
Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven customer support experience.
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong technical abilities.
Experience with various social media applications and techniques.
First-rate organizational skills, multiple task coordination, time management, and a positive and flexible attitude.
Experience with iMIS database and non-profit associations a plus.
